The mews was formerly a disused eighties office building which we stripped back to the concrete frame creating contemporary and desirable space incorporating a new mansard.

Wherever possible we have avoided wasteful demolition, recycled old materials and when choosing new finishes,
fixtures and fittings based our decisions on sustainability
first and price second.

We recognise that by designing and remodelling existing buildings we can greatly reduce their environmental impact.
We are installing the latest energy efficient LED lighting, which uses one fifth of the energy of traditional incandescent bulbs and lasts at least 50 times longer.
With a standard 50W halogen lamp, 90% of the electricity becomes heat - only 10% is converted to into light.

We have used green oak from Powys Castle, engineered floors from sustainable Austrian forests and Velux windows incorporating self-cleaning glass.

Wherever possible we have exceeded the standard recommended insulation as required by Part L of the Building Regulations.
We believe in good acoustics and have taken advice from specialist recording studio consultants to increase soundproofing between individual units.

We have used state of the art heat recovery units which
bring cool fresh air into each home whilst reusing heat in
the extract air and reducing condensation. And we have
specified award energy efficient Vallant boilers voted
“Best Buy” by Which Magazine.

We believe that our suppliers share our sustainability
values and collectively we aim to prove that conservation
goes hand in hand with high quality development.
